Our History

The opening story of this center started with the information security and cyber security courses opened in the Computer Engineering Department of GU, and accelerated with the opening of the interdisciplinary Information Security Engineering Graduate programs, which were established for the first time in our country. Then, Cyber Security and Big Data Laboratory was established in 2015. In our country, for the first time, elective courses were opened in this area in the Department of Computer Engineering, Data Science course was made compulsory in the Department of Computer Engineering, and Big Data Analytics Security and Privacy Department was opened for the first time in our country in 2020. Our work, the Turkish Brain Project, which was carried out jointly with the Artificial Intelligence Unit of the Presidency's Digital Transformation Office, has accelerated a lot. In 2021, these studies were gathered under one roof and the Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics Security R&D Center was established.
